Local musician “Vince Mira - The Young Johnny Cash” at The Skagit

BOW— Some say that he is channeling the Man in Black, but truth be told he is just a 16-year old boy with a passion for music. Vince Mira, commonly referred to as “Juanny Cash,” was originally discovered busking at Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market. Since then, the Federal Way (WA) native has gained national exposure through various television appearances including “Good Morning America” and “The Ellen Degeneres Show”.

His deep baritone vocals allow him to cover Johnny Cash with an almost eerie resemblance, but he is truly an artist in his own right. He recently recorded his first album titled “Cash Cabin Sessions” which was recorded at none other than the “Cash Cabin” built by Johnny Cash. The album was produced by Johnny’s son “John Carter Cash” and includes both covers as well as originals co-written by Mira.

His live show easily appeals to both young and old alike as he performs interpretations of his musical influences including Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and even Hank Williams backed by local favorites “The Roy Kay Trio.” Mira is not your average impersonator. He is a truly talented multi-faceted musician that happened to be influenced by one of country music’s legends.
