MCCLOUD’S SALOON; BREMERTON, WA By Ty Hughes While most don’t, some people actually find their calling in life. One of those fortunate enough to make a living doing exactly what they love to do most is our friend, Tim “Tubbs” Hoffman of Hoffman Entertainment operating out of Bremerton. This sexy bald guy with the soul patch prominently displayed under his lip has led a pretty charmed life. Recently he’s found the love of his life in a once awestruck karaoke fan and Tubbs groupie, now his beautiful wife, Mary Hoffman. Together, they make a gorgeous couple, complimenting each other perfectly. Not only is Tubbs’ love life on fire, but his career in music is nothing short of amazing. Having rubbed elbows with many of the industry’s elite, including Garth Brooks, LeAnn Rimes and many more, his experience as a professional drummer and sound/stage technician has taken him to places most of us only dream about. Currently, this bigger-than-life personality is settling down in the Bremerton area with his best friend and confidant, Mary. He is showcasing his lifetime of acquired skills as a natural performer on stage at Bremerton’s biggest country dance club and sportsbar, McCloud’s Saloon, located in the Perry Avenue Mall. Considered to be one of the very best karaoke presentations in the state of Washington and possibly the West Coast, Tubbs’ show is nothing short of spectacular. The integration of superior sound and extravagant lighting coupled with his outrageous personality and on-stage antics set him apart from the typical karaoke show on every other street corner. Five thousand watts of top-of-the-line Crown produced sound and JBL speakers, personally designed by Tubbs himself, have his performers and supporters sounding the best they can be. Given his vast experience, he was commissioned by McCloud’s management to design their location-wide sound and lighting system, creating an ambiance like no other. Attracting some of Bremerton’s top singing talent, McCloud’s is proud to present the Hoffman Entertainment show four nights a week; Sunday through Wednesday. Those who take the stage during Tubbs’ show are made to feel like a true rock star as they are surrounded by concert-quality stage lighting and projected with the very best sound equipment available. Currently, Hoffman Entertainment, in association with McCloud’s Saloon, is hosting their 2nd Annual Karaoke Round-Up Contest and invites you to join the party. Put your voice to the test in this singing competition and come away with an incredible experience and possibly some extra cash in your pockets. Though the prize money is secondary to the experience, first place will take $300, second place $200 and third $100. The Karaoke Round-Up Contest is offered every week on Sundays and Tuesdays, usually kicking off around 10pm. Two qualifiers will be selected every week until the Grand Final Round-Up scheduled for Sunday, March 30th. Between rotations, the line dancing commences on a humongous dance floor - a popular option enjoyed by McCloud’s diehard customers. McCloud’s customers settle into their seats around the dance floor to be entertained by Tubbs and his audience. The audience becomes the entertainment here with a little help from Tubbs himself. Occasionally breaking out the Kiss masks and customized tennis racquet air guitar, he jams with his singers during their performances. The food is very good as is the service. Even the cook came out to personally insure our satisfaction with our meal. Even the table tents were designed by Tubbs, someone who is artistically gifted as well. He wholeheartedly believes in marketing himself any way he can. The signature caricature logo came directly from his own hand. On this particular Tuesday night, seven contestants signed up for the contest. J.T. came out with “Purple Rain”, the sexy Rochelle nailed Christina Aguilera’s “Naughty Boy” stirring emotions from every male viewer. Jennifer performed Sara Evans’ “Perfect”, while Chelsea chose “Stay” by Sugarland. But it was Steven who landed a third place finish with Kiss’ “Love Gun”. Stu followed him with “Warning” by Incubus, securing a 2nd place performance. In the top spot for the night was Craig, who sang a moving rendition of Alan Jackson’s “Remember When”. We are sure to see one or more of these singers in the Finals on March 30th. McCloud’s Saloon is a must for all you karaoke junkies, but be forewarned… you may never look at your regular karaoke show the same way again after experiencing a Hoffman Entertainment production. Find them at 2901 Perry Avenue in Bremerton, or call them at (360) 373-3093 for further details on their Karaoke Round-Up Contest every Sunday and Tuesday through March 30th. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
