Karaoke death match contest finals

The Riverside Lanes karaoke show was off the hook this week with their “Karaoke Death Match” suicide karaoke contest! The contest qualifying rounds lasted for seven weeks with each week bringing a great variety of music and entertainment. The finals featured 18 of the 25 qualified finalists along with friends and family who definitely packed the house.

For the finals contest, each of the singers randomly drew songs from the pot for their performance song, and each of them got up and performed those songs with such enthusiasm. It was one of the most memorable and entertaining nights of karaoke ever! The audience had fun singing along to the songs that were chosen, and the bar was in unanimous party mode. Patrons found places to dance despite being full at standing-room only. Everyone had a great time. The finalists sang songs from all eras, putting on a fantastic show.

Ria Vanderpool took first place with an incredible rendition of “Billie Jean.” Jim Wisely took second place with the super disco hit of “Car Wash.” And Marsha Meeks took third place with the hot hit “Its not unusual.” Jacob Pole, our runner-up danced and sang away to, “I’m Too Sexy.” Jason Gorsuch received the judges award for Best Show singing, “I Touch Myself” and gave an exceptional performance!

A huge thanks to our guest judges, the tremendous “T”, Super sexy Stella, and the unforgettable “Tim” the Undertaker. We look forward to many contests and shows at Riverside Lanes.
