Treat yourself to a Royal experience

My ventures took me out of town this week to Bellingham. I stopped in to partake in the karaoke show at the Royal on Tuesday night, and had a blast!

DJ Jester was quite a lively host getting everyone up on the fabulous sound stage for some karaoke fun. With the large assortment of updated music, great sound quality and a fantastic host, The Royal is a karaoke destination hot spot. We mixed with the great karaoke crowd throughout the night and danced and sang along to many superb songs. The Royal offers each singer a “Royal Experience” being on a Professional sound stage for live performance; it’s a can’t miss opportunity!

Todd, aka “DJ Jester,” has a great mix of karaoke and dance music and I was very pleased at the balance catering to the individuals in the bar. I would normally frown on any karaoke venue that plays lengthy dance music, but Todd mixed the music in very well at the end of rotations and gave everyone the opportunity to dance and sing.

There was a diverse song selection among the singers and I loved hearing the forgotten songs. Pleased to meet DeLayne, a karaoke virgin no more, graced the stage with his first-ever karaoke performance. I am so glad to have been there for that! Beautiful job, DeLayne!

The Royal has an upstairs with pool tables and a full bar. Downstairs there’s a huge dance floor and sound stage for performers, along with endless choices for drinks, and a $6 pitcher you-call-it!

One of the best moments on Tuesday night included Juile Hiler and her song “Careless Whisper.” WOW! I am absolutely looking forward to my next visit at the Royal.
