On behalf of the Arcturus Media Board of Directors and our traveling support staff, I personally thank those of you who visited our booth at MB.LV-06 and for your interest in SYNAPSTAR integrated multimedia touchscreen software.

We are already programming enhancements to our products and services based on the valuable inquiries and feedback we received from professionals like you, who traveled to Las Vegas from as far away as Canada, Mexico, and New Zealand last week.

This email clarifies or elaborates on questions many of you expressed during the tradeshow, and we encourage you to provide us your personal suggestions whenever you wish.

What is the SYNAPSTAR? System?
Some key features are:

a. Supports CD+G, WMV, WMA, MP3(+G), AVI, JPG, and BMP Media Formats
b. Encodes Lossless WMA audio compression to support professional CD quality sound
c. Features 500GB media minimum storage hard drive
d. Video Output Monitors (may be split to feed multiple monitors - distribution amplifiers may be required if there are multiple splits)
- DJ/KJ GUI screen DVI or VGA
- “Now Playing” screen DVI. VGA, S-Video, or RCA
- Lyrics and other Video screens DVI, VGA, S-Video, or RCA
- Touch screen DVI or VGA

Can I purchase SYNAPSTAR? Software only?
Based on the feedback we received at MB.LV-06 from professional DJs like you, we will soon offer software-only packages. Because you gave us your e-mail address, look for a special introductory price exclusively for our MB.LV-06 friends! Software only packages will be subject to minimum hardware requirements, which we will provide to you once you have advised us of the details for your specific application and working environment.

What are those standard hardware requirements?
The SYNAPSTAR? System was designed for major venues but DJs and KJs have told us they would like a lower level version for their purposes - some have asked about a laptop-based system. We are already investigating the laptop options but for now a somewhat enhanced, standard PC is required. Many of you probably already have much of the basic A-V and PC-based hardware to run with SYNAPSTAR? Software; we can help you decide whether to upgrade or replace what you have now. Please email us at info@arcturusmedia.com to describe your current hardware set-up and how you intend to operate and we'll help you determine the optimum configuration to suit your current and future needs the most economically and effectively.

What media can I purchase bundled with the SYNAPSTAR system?
Arcturus Media, Inc has provisional agreements with multiple producers of karaoke and music video media to offer their fully licensed media packages with the SYNAPSTAR System. Once the ink is dry, we will pass these offers on to you if you have already purchased a SYNAPSTAR System!

What are the various hardware configurations and prices?
Arcturus Media constantly strives to identify and integrate new technologies and to pass the benefits of lower costs on to our valued professional customers. Our fixed venue configurations and prices are at www.arcturusmedia.com/synapstar/price.htm We intend soon to include a new SYNAPSTAR “Lite” component and pricing structure for the mobile DJ/KJ, so return periodically to monitor as we improve capabilities and reduce our market prices.

a. We are continually developing strategic relationships with all elements of the karaoke industry. For example, our SYNAPSTAR beta test site, Woofers & Tweeters Karaoke Bar and Grill, is a state and regional finals host venue for two national and world karaoke contests. We are coordinating with a production studio in Los Angeles and national contest directors and host venues to film a feature length documentary celebrating the Karaoke phenomenon later this year. d. We are members of NAMM and hope soon to be able to offer professional customers reasonable financing options through this affiliation.
e. We are forging new friendships and business relationships throughout the DJ-KJ-VJ industry with our multi-media SYNAPSTAR System and we hope soon to have agreements with major media producers and retailers in order to offer more options for configurations and bundled, licensed media.
