Mama Roni’s Pizza & Pasta

We, at the Karaoke and Entertainment Newspaper, like to profile some of our state’s most unique and out-of-the-way locations that otherwise may not get their fair share of publicity. With that, we’d like to introduce you to Mama Roni’s Pizza & Pasta, tucked neatly off the beaten path on the Key Peninsula between Purdy and Port Orchard at the Port Orchard airport.

Co-owners, Mike and John, have been in partnership for eleven months at Mama Roni’s, and business seems to be going stronger than ever. Mike has over 14 years of experience in the hospitality business, but watching him interact with his customers, one would think that he started just yesterday. Both John and Mike have an endless supply of energy to offer as evidenced by their popular Blues Bros. routine. In fact, John says they have a whole bag of tricks and props that they use from time to time, he even plays the harmonica which really livens up the crowd.

Karaoke at Mama Roni’s runs six nights a week; Tuesday through Sunday from 8:30pm to closing time. Janet, the karaoke host, has been at it for 16 years in the area and shares the weekly hosting with Jessica. They boast a collection of songs 14,000 strong. Misty was first up on the mic with “Love Me Tender”, followed by Bob, who frequents the Cactus Moon in Everett. Mike and Janet come in with a bluesy version of James Taylor’s “Steamroller” warming up the crowd for John’s infamous “Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah”.

Mama Roni’s is such a great time, it’s quickly become one of the local’s favorite nightly hangouts. Mike and John are great party hosts, ensuring that every guest is comfortable and satisfied. The regular crowd is a real fun group of folks, tight knit and very friendly. Everybody’s really nice and down to earth, easy to talk to. They have a way of enveloping you into the fold and festivities, making you feel right at home. The bar is small, but the food, drinks, hospitality and personalities are huge! Plus, the girls are all gorgeous!

Make it a point to check out Mama Roni’s at the Port Orchard airport, it’s a quaint little bar that will surely leave an indelible impression.
