Toby’s celebrates their first year!

By Ty Hughes

Walking into Toby Magee’s Saturday night, July 15, I was immediately consumed by two beautiful women and promptly adorned with Coors Light hats, shirts, key chains, etc. Jami and Katie, local Coors Light girls, pinned me with a blinking guitar pin, and when I was fully draped with Coors Light logos, I was through the introduction process and prepared to join the party. And what a party it was! The entire weekend was jam-packed with excitement in celebration of owners Don and Cami’s successful completion of their first year since taking over the popular location in Everett. Don had this to say: “We’re still here, and we’re still married!” Then he added, “We’ve had a record year for Toby Magee’s; better than any year so far in the history of the bar.”

Don and Cami were gallivanting around the bar, keeping up with the action even after a long day and night of partying. Katie, Justine and Shannon kept right up with them while taking care of their faithful customers’ every needs.

The band, Mojo Rider, played to an appreciative crowd of music lovers. The cameras were flashing, and the libations flew from the bar. Friday night featured lively karaoke with their new host, Shari, and the Corazon girls made their rounds.

On Saturday morning, seventy-five bikers gathered at Toby’s to kick off their Angel Ride for Hospice, where they planned to visit five local bars in hopes of raising money for the Hospice industry - explained to me as a service that cares for folks in their sunset years. In their fourth year of riding for Hospice, they managed to pool together an impressive $6,500 for the cause. Toby Magee’s was gracious in presenting a $1,100 check to the Hospice benefit.

Shortly thereafter, the drop-dead gorgeous Jager girls dropped in wearing their ultra-sexy, custom-made leather chaps to mark the occasion and spread some Jager cheer. After a long day of bar-hopping and riding in the Pacific Northwest sunshine, several of the Angel riders and Hospice reps stopped in to cap off a successful day of fundraising and wind down.

Toby’s anniversary weekend turned out to be a huge success, and Don and Cami would like to thank everyone who came out to support the bar and the cause.

Fortunately, you don’t have to wait an entire year to enjoy the upbeat surroundings at Toby Magee’s. They are open seven days a week, and are anxious to see your smiling face anytime for great food and drinks, awesome karaoke and live entertainment all year long!

Stop in and congratulate Toby’s on the completion of their first year, and make a few new friends. These folks will treat you the way you’d expect to be treated when spending an evening out in celebration, or just to take a load off.

Located in Everett, just East of I-5’s 128th Street exit, the address is 12811 8th Ave. W.; or you can call them at (425) 355-6561.
