TIN HAT TAVERN; KENNEWICK, WA
The Tin Hat is no longer the best kept secret In the Tri-Cities
By Mike Carlin, Karaoke Tonight
Okay, so my comment about all the Seattle rain and the Tri-Cities’ 300 days of annual sunshine (See last month’s edition of the Karaoke and Live Entertainment Guide) has come back to haunt me. Rain, rain, go away! With the sale of hip-waiders on the rise in the Tri-Cities (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland), we can either take up bowling for bass or singing karaoke.
I would like to thank the readers of this fine publication for checking out the Tin Hat Tavern in Kennewick. Last month, I called the small no frills tavern “The best kept secret in the Tri-Cities.” Following the release of “The Guide”, we had the best night ever on Saturday, January 7th.
Karaoke Tonight would like to thank the couple who took the time to travel from Yakima, everyone enjoyed your talents. Pictures have been posted at www.karaoketonight.net.
An interesting article in last month’s paper on the subject of karaoke games, titled “Fun With Karaoke” (page 28-back page). Great ideas.
We have a twist on the popular Kamikaze Karaoke (when a singer performs a song he or she doesn’t know). Our Super CDg discs have over one thousand songs on each CD. We invite patrons to yell out three or four numbers, and the performer does their best with what they get. It’s amazing how many are able to pick up some semblance of a tune and do a song any justice. We are always looking for ways to liven up the crowd. I welcome and look forward to your comments.
Once again, we’ll see you at the Tin Hat Tavern Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You need to sing, and we need your money.
