Leny’s Place will have you coming back

By Ty Hughes

Leny’s Place is one of those special neighborhood pubs that beckons to all the surrounding college students any given night of the week.

Jo, the bartender that never quits, has such poise behind the bar. She knows how to handle all that testosterone on the other side of the bar in fine diplomatic style. She pours a mean drink and has a personality that anyone can relate to.

Leny’s runs their fantastic karaoke every Saturday night starting at 9pm featuring North Seattle’s favorite host, Leo. Leo spent much of his time honing his craft at Goldies Shoreline Casino and now spreads the love at Leny’s on Saturdays. He’s got a pretty nice singing voice too.

The show doesn’t really kick into high gear until around 11pm when all those Alabama Slammers come into play. His song books are good sized and the sound is at a comfortable level for a bar of this size. You see, Leny’s may not be the biggest bar around, but it has more character than most.

The food is amazing! Their burgers, award-winning and their new Cobb Salad to die for!

The people are real down to earth and easy to make new friends. Leny’s is at 2219 N. 56th in Seattle; 206-632-9175.
