Muscle car show makes great venue for karaoke

The sunshine and warm temperatures of Washington State’s Tri-Cities make for great outdoor karaoke. Add in a mix of classic muscle cars for a perfect family event.

The G-Force Muscle Car Club, the Knights of Columbus and Karaoke Tonight are teaming up for the 2nd annual event on Saturday, June 17, outdoors at the Knights of Columbus, located at 24th and Sylvester in Pasco, from 8:30am to 5pm.

Last year’s first event showcased twenty-five cars from around the state. This year’s event will see even more chrome and fancy paint jobs. True, twenty-five or even fifty cars cannot compare to the hundreds of vehicles on display during the upcoming “Hot Desert Nights” in the Tri-Cities; however, no matter the size of the event, everyone still loves sharing the fond memories that these cars evoke. Money raised will go to local charities around the Tri-Cities area. Drivers will take part in the always-popular poker run during the afternoon, and three trophies will be given away following the judging at around 4:30pm.

Let’s crank up the volume for music and karaoke. Last year, Mike Carlin (yours truly) was asked to emcee the event, and we are proud to be able to return again this year. Kids love to perform, especially when mom and dad are present, and this event is a perfect family showcase. The back of a 1951 Ford flatbed makes for a great stage.
