Great food and creative fun at Coconut Lounge

Tucked neatly into the heart of downtown Everett, Bobby's Hawaiian Restaurant and the Coconut Lounge is a rare find. Bobby and Diane Nakihei opened the restaurant in 2000, catering to people who seek the comforts of island food.

Located just across from the Everett Event Center, you will find great food served before 9pm and fun karaoke after 9pm! The restaurant is located upstairs at street level and has a calm island feel, with a thatched overhang and beautiful exposed brick walls, while the lounge is located snuggly downstairs. The Coconut Lounge offers pool tables, darts, pull tabs and of course karaoke! You can sing to your hearts content every Friday and Saturday evenings from 9pm to 1am. We found that before the big Silver Tips game let out we were able to warm up and get in a couple of songs each before the big rush of excited hockey fans came pouring in. The staff is friendly and helpful, which is always a plus!

Hosted by Jade, who claims that she often becomes "Evil Jade" at her shows, the Friday night karaoke is lively and fun as well as funny and entertaining. Have you ever heard of Marshmallow Karaoke?! Well, we hadn't either, but let us tell you, it's one funny sight to see! We won't give away all the details but Jade has several games of this nature that she pulls out of her hat when things begin to liven up at the lounge or when she's feeling particularly "evil". We happened to arrive just before 9pm and were able to enjoy the delicious Hawaiian barbequed food and an exquisite piece of coconut cake before the festivities of the night began. Although, at first, we thought the song selection was fairly limited, upon asking we learned that there were many, many more songs available to browse through other than those in the books and that they are in the process of updating and upgrading the selection.

Saturday nights are hosted by Angie Faro who we know to be a bubbly and very outgoing person as well as a fun host. We're sure you'll have a good time whichever night you choose to come out and sing at the Coconut Lounge. Next time you're out in the Everett area looking for a new place to sing, eat and have a great time, we recommend heading on over to Hewitt and checking Bobby's Hawaiian Restaurant and the Coconut Lounge out.
