KARAOKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

HISTORY & OBJECTIVE

Karaoke World Championships (KWC) event has already been held three times, years 2003, 2004 and 2005 in Heinola, Finland. Each time the competition has been a great success. Karaoke fans and competitors from all around the world have joined us to enjoy the outstanding competition atmosphere. The increasing popularity of this event is proven by continuous growth in participation: in 2003 there were seven countries to participate, whereas in 2004 the competition introduced singers from 14 different countries and in 2005 from 21 different countries. As for the year 2006, there are already over 20 countries that have confirmed their participation in advance.

The objective of KWC venue is to provide an annual event for karaoke enthusiasts, where singers and karaoke fans from all around the world can meet and get to know each other. During these years, there have been borne many new friendships. There is a video document available in VHS and DVD of both 2003 and 2005 competitions for those who want to get familiar with the atmosphere of the venue. The search for new Karaoke World Champions has started!

Karaoke World Championships has been held already three times in Finland, with great success. Oy KWC Organization, Ltd. is now looking for more partners to organize their country trials for the KWC 2006 event. Please, take some time to get to know the KWC event at www.kwc.fi.

The KWC 2006 Event will be held September 8-10 on M/S Galaxy, on a cruise ship which will sail between Helsinki and Tallinn, Estonia. It is a brand new cruise ship which will take its first cruise in May. M/S Galaxy will be the biggest and most luxurious cruise ship in Scandinavia! All passangers have time to visit Tallinn during their cruise. On board, there will be karaoke in several places for the audience, for example, in a sauna or in a jacuzzi! How exotic is that?!

For KWC 2006 Event there will be TV companies from China, Thailand, Ireland, BBC, Finland, Estonia. It will be a lifetime opportunity for the singers to show their talents for the world. Before the actual competition, there will be a big press conference on board where the media can interview singers and KWC Partners.
