Contest finals redo at Mamma Mia's

After the contest results were announced at Mamma Mia's last month, there were several disappointed contestants, which is understandable with any contest.

Even though, Billy and his wife Maria, owners of Mamma Mia's, were unable to attend the finals due to family matters, they have chosen to run another contest from semi-finals to finals. They were not able to legitimately assess the events of the evening and due to the concerns of a few of the contestants, they feel that a new contest featuring the original semi-finalists would be a great idea.

"I'm a happy people person!", says Billy, and this is the reason he's decided to award his patrons with another chance to win that trip to Las Vegas! Billy intends to step up to the plate with his own judges and judging criteria. He will be present for the events, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, March 17th and 18th, with the finals being held on Friday, March 24th. He may even fly some of the judges in from Italy!

With that having been said we would like to congratulate the top five contestants from the original contest: Josh, who placed 1st and won the trip to Vegas, Liz who placed 2nd, Tony Cea who placed 3rd, Clay who placed 4th and Lost John who placed 5th. These people sang beautifully, and entertained the audience, as did everyone who was involved. If you were in the original Semi-Finals please call Mamma Mia's immediately and leave a message for Billy with your contact information. Billy will be providing the same prizes as before and will be present at the competition.

Yes, that's right! Another trip to Las Vegas will be awarded! There will be $1.00 drink specials and $1.00 personal pizzas available during the nights of the contest too! There will be a slight change in the judging criteria and that will be that Billy has decided that 1/3 or 1/4 of the judges' scores will be based on audience response, so bring your friends and family to cheer you on!

Now remember that Mamma Mia's has the best and we do mean the best authentic Italian cuisine around. Mamma Mias is now our favorite place to go and have real Italian food with a huge selection of wine and the bread, mmm mmm, is to die for!

Also remember to stop in and get a drink from our favorite bartender Patrick, aka "Jersey". Just like Billy, Jersey is the real deal. Patrick was born and raised in Jersey. These guys speak from the heart and are true to the soul with their Italian good looks and the Jersey accents they are always looking out for Mamma Mia's customers, by making sure that people have a pleasant experience, great drinks and no one is disrespected. Tell Jersey you heard about him from Rocky and Kristine, and be sure to ask him, "Hey, how you doin'?"

The crew at Mamma Mia's is one in a million and we'd love to mention everyone, but we'd probably run out of room!
