Sunday’s “Creme de la Creme”

Pierce County held its first karaoke by invitation only showcase in years at O’Malley’s in Tacoma on Sunday, March 26th.

The packed bar’s audience listened to performers such as Lisa Lang who held the room spellbound with the other Liza’s, “Mein Heir”, Rimbob did the same singing “Devil Inside.” Seattle Star finalist, Anthony Brown, did a soulful set which included “Open Arms.”

JT Windam, a Nashville Star Search contestant put forth “The Fireman” and “Who’s Your Daddy.” Other guest singers included the popular Debbie Myre, who opened last year for Peter Frampton, Claire, Superman Tim S., Super Steve and Jeremy.

The showcase was such a success that O’Malley’s is making Danny Ray’s special event a regular last-Sunday-of-the-month show. Join the fun May 28 and June 25!

The singer line up for May still has slots open. Your invitation fate is in Danny’s hands. The requested singer show starts at 7:00pm, but the mic is open from 5:00pm to 7:00pm to any singer and again after the show until closing.

Danny’s invited singers will do sets to show off their talents and entertain. Danny says “this is not a contest, but a place in time to see and hear the ‘creme de la creme’ of the singers that step up on my stages at Ida’s on Fridays and Saturdays and O’Malley’s during the week. It’s my way of saying ‘thank you’ for allowing me to hear such wonderful voices, by providing this event.”
