Skagit holds $5000 contest finale

Thursday, March 30th was the big night at Skagit Valley Casino Resort in lovely Bow, Washington. Nestled in the trees alongside I-5 between Burlington and Bellingham, the Skagit’s Pacific Showroom is spacious and luxurious, offering a superb site to give away loads of money to a special, local singer. The contest, known as the $5,000 Karaoke For Cash II, ran qualifiers for several months and this would be the Grand Finale. Free entry into the show proved to be a great idea, as the entire showroom filled to capacity with anxious onlookers. Hosted by the incomparable Rocky and Kristine Fields, they invited special guest judges in the likes of Tony Bridges, accomplished singer; Brittany Sadler, Skagit’s Advertising Coordinator; Tony Cea, accomplished singer; Crissy Washington, Skagit’s Promotions Coordinator/Casino Host; and Don Hurley, KAFE Radio Bellingham, WA.

The party raged onward and the singers took to the stage showing off their wares. It turned out to be a magical night of entertainment.

Thanks to the Skagit Valley Casino Resort at 5984 N. Darrk Lane, Bow, WA, and its management, to Rocky and Kristine Fields, and especially to all the singers and well-wishers for helping to wrap up the contest in super-fine fashion. Stay tuned for more exciting karaoke action coming soon to the Skagit.

The Skagit is proud to announce their newest promotion, named the Talent Quest 2006 final destination for the Regional Finals, where winners will be chosen to go on to Laughlin, Nevada, to compete on the National Level. See their ad in this issue for more details on this huge event coming in May.
