Wow Was Nightclub with Mr. Delirious

Our friend, Mr. Delirious, is now appearing at Wow Was Nightclub at Chihuahua’s Mexican Restaurant at 4202 Auburn Way North. The newly-formed nightclub comes complete with a grande-sized dance floor, mirrors along the walls, brand new paint job, and a killer elevated and professional sound booth.

Mr. Delirious is proud to man the sound booth with his 25 years of experience in the biz, following in his father’s footprints.

The light show is truly something to behold, as it echoes and dances through the room via the mirrors. Black walls with deep, rich reds accentuate the interior, making it feel like a true nightclub. They’ve suspended a massive projection TV where Mr. Delirious plays his old school videos. Some of the ancient, but riveting videos he has in his collection are amazing, totalling over 13,000.

Mr. Delirious literally “rules the roost” at Wow Was, sitting high above the dance floor, spinning his magic. His songbooks are 19,000 strong, and the sound system is excellent around the dance floor, but not as loud in the spacious seating area. Wow Was is currently offering a WTA (Winner Takes All) karaoke contest on Thursday nights at 10pm. There were just five contestants the night we showed up; Brynna, Tiffany, James, Nia and Al. Al took first place with his version of “My Pride & Joy”, while Nia came in a close second with “Escape”. They each took home some cash for their fine efforts.

Brynna, Tiffany and James put forth a pleasing performance, but it just wouldn’t be their day.

Char sang along with Al in a pretty duet. Char hosted for years at the Virginia Tavern in Kent and promises to be back!
