Heavenly Karaoke at Angel Of The Winds

One Thursday night, we were puttering around the Angel of the Winds Casino, when we realized that they had karaoke going on over there! We headed into the lounge area where Chrissy Williams was hosting what looked to be a very exciting show. The show was in full-swing with a good-sized rotation already in progress.

A chair was offered to us by some old friends, Tim, Tammy, and daughter Tasha, so we sat down, ordered a drink from the waitress, and browsed the karaoke book. We learned the show begins at 7pm and ends promptly at Midnight.

There was a myriad of cool instruments lined up that folks could use as props and play along with the singers. All of these cool props added pizzazz and originality to this Chrissy’s show.

It turns out that our friend Tim handcrafted each and every one of these instruments! They all looked to be the real deal, but were just props! Amazing work.

Chrissy came up with a name for the players of these fine instruments, the Watershed Boys, or the Watershed Band, depending on who was up there play acting their parts. It was such a hoot! There were drums, a guitar that when turned over looked just like a saxophone, several different types and style of guitars, and a violin. Anyone is welcome to join in the band, and there are microphones for back-up singing too. Chrissy runs a fair rotation, working in old singers with the new, and keeps things moving along at a good quick pace. Everyone was thoroughly engaged and enjoying the entertainment. The show was upbeat, the singers were fun, and the band was a huge hit with everyone. Her song selection was very current and up-to-date. Angel Of The Winds karaoke show is a ton of fun. Then, when Chrissy got up to sing, I was blown away! I havn’t heard her sing in a long time. I’d forgotten how much talent was inside that little lady, absolutely astounding!

Do yourself a favor and visit Chrissy’s show are at Angel of the Winds Casino in Arlington every Wednesday and Thursday, 7pm-Midnight. These guys love to dance and sing, they really love the karaoke show. We highly recommend checking it out.
