Buckshot Jazz! “Go Johnny Go!”

Buckshot Jazz celebrated their one-year anniversary at Johnny’s at Fife last month in true style. Johnny’s was standing-room only as Buckshot Jazz night, 2nd Thursday each month, has grown in popularity by leaps and bounds since our last report.

Buck himself couldn’t help but smile from behind his drum set. He and bandmates, Randy and Mike, continue to bring an exciting energy to Johnny’s lounge when they play, and word is spreading. They’ve got a whole slew of musicians joining them with trumpets, bass guitars, and saxophones these days. Guest singers are often invited to take the mic and accompany the band. Randy’s wife Sidney entertained a full room, which included Johnny’s karaoke host Ravonna, and her main man Pete. Ravonna strikes up the karaoke system every Friday and Saturday night to a great crowd of singers.

“Johnny’s is my dream location,” she says, “I love this room!”

Her singers love her right back too. She’s been a big hit at Johnny’s.

Patty, Kathy, and Lanae kept bar, but this time was different. They were planning on giving away a trip for two to Vegas, Reno, or Tahoe that night! Everybody was anxious to win a trip. All they had to do to be entered was eat and drink! I can do that really well!

During Buckshot’s final break, and after not much fanfare, an extremely busy Kathy had Mike draw the name out of the hat… Debbie Hollins! Yeah baby! Gettin’ on a jet plane! Plus, she gets a certificate for $500 in casino credit! Life is good for Debbie, and you could be next to win by the way. Because Johnny’s isn’t stopping there. They plan on giving away a trip for two every Sunday and Monday during the football games! Are you kidding me? Can you believe this that’s happening right now?

Meanwhile, Buckshot is just classin’ up the joint. All smooth and righteous. These guys are the cream, let me tell ya. One year at Johnny’s and folks just can‘t get enough of these guys. Get yourself out there and check ‘em out. You’ll be amazed by the experience. One of the musicians put it well when he said, “This room absorbs the sound really good.”

Come out to Johnny’s one night soon. Karaoke with Ravonna every Friday and Saturday. And Buckshot Jazz will make another appearance on Thursday, November 10. Show up early for dinner and a good seat, they fill up fast.
