D n D Productions: Karaoke couple with a purpose

Dave and Diana Richards met at karaoke one night and fell in love.

As it turns out, Dave was hosting a show at the old Uncle Mo’s in Georgetown when Diana walked into the room and into his life. That was three years ago. Married last August, they now share the same name.

Probably the cutest couple you’ll ever meet, Dave and Diana have built a karaoke business to be proud of.

Dave has been a musician since High School, and has an extensive background in recording and producing music. He’s developed a real ear for quality. Plus, fourteen years in the Navy earned Dave a prestigious position as a Maritime Instructor by day, but every Saturday, catch their fun karaoke show at Wayne’s World in South Seattle.

“Wayne’s World is like ‘home’, it’s inviting”, Dave says.

Diana follows quietly, “Wayne’s World is a great place to sing, dance, meet people, and has a great party atmosphere”.

Together, they are D n D Productions, and they are soon to become your preferred entertainment hosts of choice, once you get a load of their fantastic Soul Train karaoke night! Oh, you know you love it.

Somewhere around mid-month on a Saturday night, come out for an incredible night of Disco madness that will have you movin’ and groovin’ into next week. They get all dressed up, play games, and have a real good time. Everybody’s talking about it too. Make it happen!

D n D bring their special brand of hosting every Saturday at Wayne’s World from 9pm to 1:30am. They bring a great mix of song choices and attract new fans to the show all the time. Dave and Diana’s new singers have such a great time, they’ll typically bring a friend or two along the next Saturday. And they work hard to remember everyone’s name. A box of fun props is always available if you prefer the theatrical.

Their number one objective, or “mission”, as Dave puts it, is to have fun, play games, let loose and enjoy yourself.

The rotation runs anywhere from six to 15 singers, so there’s lots of opportunity to sing your heart out at Wayne’s World. Besides all the fun and games, Dave and Diana are still talking about doing a contest soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

Even when you’re not singing, you’re still part of the show. Bring your musical knowledge to the table when they kick off a rousing game of Name That Tune. On the big screen, besides the lyrics, they run a smart mix of promotional and informational video for the bar. Wayne’s World is great about in-house promotions. Multiple TV monitors around the bar will post bar specials and upcoming events around the current programming. Dart boards line the front wall, plus a couple pool tables stand between you and the dance floor.
