Dezi’s is small, but big on fun

By Rocky & Kristine Fields

I was searching for a new place to sing karaoke when I realized we hadn’t scouted out the area between State Street in Marysville and Smokey Point Blvd in a while, so we ventured out.

There are a couple of restaurants in the area, but I just wasn’t sure if we’d be lucky enough to find any karaoke to speak of. Lo and behold, there it was! On the east side of the main road, just off the 116th Street exit off I-5, near Marysville, I found Dezi’s Bar & Grill!

Dezi’s is a tiny little place, but a ton of fun! Shadow was hosting karaoke that night. We settled into our seats.

As it turns out, Dezi’s hasn’t been around that long, which was nice for us. The karaoke rotation wasn’t huge (yet), and it didn’t take long for our group to get their turns on the mic.

Great song selection, a couple of pool tables, pulltabs, and a very friendly, and attractive bartender, made for a relaxing experience. There are several TVs for your sports-viewing pleasure, plus a jukebox, and a good selection of food items on the menu. How about Jell-o shots for just two bucks each? Yum!

I spoke to several patrons who all seemed to be having a great time. They all commented on how great the food is at Dezi’s – always a plus as far as I’m concerned. Some danced, others sang, but overall, the crowd was very supportive of the karaoke and the singers. Although we couldn’t stay long, we had a great time.

Dezi’s karaoke shows are hosted by Shadow on Friday, and they recently added Saturdays from 9pm-1am. Take the time to try something new this month. Rumor has it that Shadow will be dressing up at every show in October, so if you’re looking to be entertained, we highly recommend checking out Dezi’s, located at 11605 State Avenue, Marysville, WA 98271 – phone (360) 659-9490.

Tell them you read about their show in the Karaoke Guide, we’d greatly appreciate it!  I’m sure you’ll have yourself a grand ol’ time!

Unfortunately I no longer work there. :( I am now at The White Horse in Arlington WA. No karaoke, but still a fun bar
