Fat Tuesday Gong Show at One Eyed Jacks
Didn‘t catch the name of the host for One Eyed Jacks’ special Fat Tuesday edition of their weekly Gong Show, but he was fantastically funny. Dirty and disgusting, just how we like ‘em, right guys?
Owner Tom joined with a couple of ladies to provide brutal critiques of those performers brave enough to step foot on One Eyed Jack’s stage and bare it all. We’ve seen comics, dancers, and singers, but we’ve also witnessed some of the most asinine, hair-brained variety acts take the stage just hoping not to get gonged on Tuesdays for their hilarious Gong Show.
Growing in popularity, One Eyed Jack’s Gong Show will have you rolling. The judges each add their own comedic digs as they weigh in after each performance, while the talent (and I use that term loosely) stands there and takes it, good or bad. That is if they don’t get gonged before their act is over.
You karaoke singers better really bring it, because you’re on a different scoring system altogether than those who come up with the most outrageous and creative acts.
The best act for the night will be rewarded with $50 cash money, like Comedian Scott did on Fat Tuesday. Actually, Christian, a Michael Jackson impersonator, who danced right out of his shoes, moon-walking his way into the hearts of a raucous crowd finished in 1st place, but since he had won recently, Scott was named Champion!
Aaron was still cutting his teeth on his live comedy routine, but held his own, getting a positive reaction and more importantly, no gong. He was handed a ten-dollar gift certificate to use at One Eyed Jacks.
The Gong Show on Tuesdays is one not to be missed. The show starts after the bar fills up around 10pm. Sign ups start around 9pm or so.
If you’ve got a hidden talent, no matter what it is (seriously), then bring your act, some good friends, and your appetite for fun to One Eyed Jacks every Tuesday. You stand a chance of walking away with a pocketful of cash money that wasn’t there when you walked in!
Karaoke runs every Tuesday (after the Gong Show), Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 9:30pm. Drink specials designed to keep your money in your pocket are served by a bartender that kicks ass behind the bar. That’d be Tracie, she’s been here for many years and knows everybody.
On Friday nights, join Sandra D. for Chase The Ace Karaoke awesomeness, or Saturday nights to witness some of the area’s most incredible live and local bands performing.
Tom and his friendly staff will keep the lights on for ya, as long as nobody decides to bury their car in the side of the building. Good times and good friends at One Eyed Jacks; 14019 Hwy. 99, Lynnwood (425) 743-5570.
