Trivia by Geeks keeps ‘em guessing at Hamburger Harry’s

Geeks are people too! Apparently, they come highly celebrated at Hamburger Harry’s in Ballard every Thursday night.

GeeksWhoDrink.com is a national pub quiz organization that hosts sophisticated events all over the U.S. Hamburger Harry’s attracts a bevy of brainiacs on Thursday nights to compete for cash and prizes. Teams of up to six people enter to play and the bar fills to capacity. Some of the team names are great, like Norwegian Taco, Mitt Romney’s Tanlines, Amanda Bynes’ D.D., or The 47%.

Like vultures they devour eight rounds of eight questions each, having to do with anything from politics to chocolate to world money. It’s always helpful to have extra minds lending a hand if you choose to be victorious in your endeavor. So bring your friends, there’s truly strength in numbers here.

The trivia starts at 8pm and runs a couple of hours. Bring your appetites. Try one of Hamburger Harry’s signature gourmet Blue Cheese Burger, or their Habanero Burger. How does a Peanut Butter Bacon Burger sound? All priced between $10-$13 each, they make a whole meal. You’ll also find delicious salads, pastas, and chicken dishes to choose from on their menu. Last call for food comes quickly, around 9pm, so don’t wait to get your orders in.

Hamburger Harry’s, in the heart of Ballard, features karaoke with Monique on Friday nights, and with Fehrone on Saturdays. The staff is super friendly, and the atmosphere is clean, bright, and upbeat. Signed memorabilia lines the walls, raising the cool-factor by a bunch.

The bartender will randomly spin the drink wheel without notice and proclaim the next money-saving liquor du jour.
