BadAxe Mikee at Jerseys
By Ty Hughes
Jersey’s Sports Bar in Federal Way is proud to announce the return of the one and only, BadAxe Mikee, fresh out of retirement!
BadAxe Mikee is a musical genius, did you know he can play 13 instruments? His style of show put the SeaTac’s Bull Pen on the map, and his unique karaoke show ran for 16 years. He became legendary ‘round these parts.
“I played in local bands around the Northwest during the 80s and early 90s, he says, “Tempest, Glory Hound, and most notably The Fat City Boys, until karaoke erupted.”
With Bobby Joe’s Entertainment, he ruled the roost in the SeaTac area for years to come, boasting the best karaoke show in town with a huge following.
BadAxe Mikee; “I began to add musical instrumentation to my shows; first the keys, then a guitar, and another, and another, learning them as I went. Anything to enhance the singer’s experience.”
In 2010, after 16 years at the Bull Pen, he was diagnosed with cancer and spent a year on chemo, recovering. He’s been cancer free now for a year and is “Itchin’ to ROCK!”
“My friends Arnie, Chatelaine, and I spent a lot of time looking for just the right place that would be a perfect fit for my unique show.”
“We chose to work with the wonderful folks at Jersey’s Sports Bar in Federal Way. They’ve got a terrific place, great food and such nice staff.”
Jersey’s put took out three pool tables, built a beautiful stage and installed a big dance floor to show Mikee they were glad to have him on board.
In fact, the management is giving away hours and hours of studio recording time to the right people! Come in for details. Also, see their ad on page 2.
BadAxe Mikee is rocking the stage at Jersey’s every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Find more at http://badaxemikee.com.
Arnie says, “I’m a crappy singer, and he’s the only one that can make me sound good!”
