Live Jazz, good wine, great food at Johnny’s Fife

The most indelible Buckshot Jazz takes center stage at Johnny’s Fife on the second Thursday of each month to celebrate the sweet sound of beautiful music.
Johnny’s is a small lounge, but swanky with their swivel chairs and comfortable booths. Tables fill up quickly for the Buckshot Jazz show, many of whom share musical talents of their own. Often, the band will feature musical guests to appear with them. Last month, we enjoyed Butch Harrison, and Tillie Sager, plus Randy on guitar, Buck on drums, and Randy’s wife Cindy on vocals, over a delicious Rib dinner for $13.95. Johnny’s boasts some of the best food on the planet!
Recently they’ve joined with an outfit that provides a Northwest wine tasting party to accompany your jazz. For just $10, you’ll be given a glass. Let the tasting begin! This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about local wines and procedures.
What with the live jazz, guest musicians, fine wines, and highly rated cuisine, it’s hard to find a reason NOT to spend a Thursday night at Johnny’s at Fife.
The beloved Ravonna comes in Friday and Saturday night and opens the microphone up to anyone who wants to come up and sing some karaoke. Ravonna is a favorite host among the Tacoma karaoke crowd.
Happy Hour runs daily from 5pm to 8pm, and features $2.50 drafts, $2.75 bottles, $3 wells, and $1 off wine glasses. Plus, you can order from a Happy Hour menu of appetizers for $5.50 each with your drink order.
Not only did I leave with tomorrow’s lunch, but also a renewed appreciation for Buckshot Jazz, NW wines, and Johnny’s at Fife!
