Happy Halloween, Support The Music

Other than half the state of Washington being on fire, September was not too bad. At least the weather was nice. I drove over to Eastern Washington and the smoke was thick as fog in places and smelled terrible. Sure wouldn’t want to be in the middle that for very long. I feel for the people who live there and had to breathe in that smoke for days.
On Saturday, September 10, I cruised down to Long Beach, Washington for their annual Rod Run weekend. This was my first time there, and I’m telling you, it was a blast! Reminded me of back in the days, cruising such places as Riverside Avenue in Spokane, or Alki Beach, in Seattle. Some of the nicest hot rods, muscle cars, classic cars, and you name it, were there. If you haven’t been to the Rod Run before, make it a point to be there next year. You’ll be totally amazed.
Get out to the Kitsap Event Center (Sk8 Town) in Port Orchard on Saturday, October 27 for their big ol’ Halloween Bash! It’s an all-ages event with a fun costume contest, games, prizes, and of course, live entertainment featuring the Northwest’s legendary rock band RAIL with special guest SOULSTICE!
Portions of proceeds will go to the “Hands Around The World Foundation”. I really look forward to being there. Hope to see you there too! This will be a great party! Hope to see y’all at the Kitsap Event Center, October 27.

Have you ever heard of KICKSTARTER? It’s a unique way of raising money to fund a music project. A band or artist seeks pledges from friends, family, fans, or anyone that would want to help fund a project like producing a CD. Anyone making a pledge can get different items for your pledge. Generally, the larger the pledge, the better the items. If you don’t receive enough pledges to reach your set goal dollar amount in a certain time period, the project is canceled and none of the people who made a pledge would be charged any money.
Most of you know, or have heard of the AURY MOORE BAND from the Seattle area. They have a KICKSTARTER campaign to hopefully fund the production of their upcoming CD, titled “HERE I AM”. The deadline is October 4th, if you can make a pledge to help them out, that would be very cool. They are a great bunch of very talented musicians with lead singer Aury Moore fronting the band.
