Shoreline MMA worth checking out

MMA, acronym for Mixed Martial Arts, has become quite the popular sport over the past few years. Casinos and Bars have gotten in on the action by showing the pay-per-view fights and local gyms have added exciting MMA-style classes too. We have personally attended Arlington Kickboxing Academy (AKA) for several years now and have benefited from the MMA fighting style classes which include kickboxing, submission, boxing, Brazillian Jiu Jitsu and Pancration. It’s a great way to get in and stay in excellent shape, no matter who you are!
Recently, a friend of ours opened a new MMA training location and we went to check it out. It was impressive enough to gain mention in the Karaoke and Live Entertainment Guide! Here’s a quick overview of what they offer, information taken from their website at www.shorelinemma.com.
Newly opened, Shoreline MMA is Washington’s preeminent mixed martial arts training center. They offer classes in Boxing, Kickboxing, Jiu Jitsu, pro training, and fitness. The classes are designed for men, women, and children of all ages. As a member of Shoreline MMA you can expect to achieve a world-class workout and learn skills that will improve every aspect of your life.
Shorelines kickboxing class teaches our unique striking system created by Aric Wiseman. This system was developed through years of competition and teaching experience. It combines Western Boxing footwork and punching with Dutch kickboxing techniques. Traditional Muay Thai kicks, knees, elbows, and clinch are also combined. Students are taught to simulate combat using technique and biomechanics.
Shoreline’s head instructors run bi-weekly pro training for professional and amateur fight competitors. This training is by invitation only. If you are a competitive fighter and want to train with the Shoreline’s Fight Team, please speak to our staff about how to earn your invitation.
Shorelines fitness class is a one-hour, low-impact cardio workout that includes techniques from Kickboxing, Boxing, and modern MMA.
Students can expect continuous cardio output guaranteed to shed those unwanted pounds. A motivating instructor moves the class through an effective hour of jump rope, Trx, bag work, and conditioning. This fast paced, high energy, no contact class is an excellent way to get in the best shape of your life. Ask our staff about how to earn your invitation.
