Karaoke is Crucial at Tech City Bowl, Kirkland, WA

Incredible are the unique and completely different karaoke shows that I visit. The Pacific Northwest is fortunate enough to be home to many creative and vibrant entrepreneurs. Especially in the genre of music and entertainment. The caliber of entertainment being offered on any given day or night is something we ought not take for granted.
It’s important that we support local small businesses, like Steven Butler’s Crucial Karaoke for example. Steven’s got a few key shows available each week around the Bellevue/Kirkland area. We caught up to this busy guy running his exciting style of show at Jimmy G’s bar inside Tech City Bowl one Friday night. The same place he’s been every Friday night for two and a half years now. Steven’s show is so fun and popular, he’s actually in 1st place right now in the voting for King 5’s Best Of Western Washington! We wish him well in his quest for the best!
Meanwhile, it’s important that you grab your friends and come see the show for yourself. Steven’s got the fog machines spewin’ and a gigantic bank of party lights on a portable 15’ truss system. Although, this “only for special occasions” he tells me. And tonight, it was Tara and Nicole’s birthday celebration. All their girlfriends laughing and giggling around the karaoke had the bar full in no time. Steven whipped out his best wireless mics and the room partied all night! Everybody got involved in the karaoke, even the casual passersby stuck around for awhile. Steven’s effects had that bar rockin’. We just needed somebody to jump in with a Kiss set and it would’ve been worth paying for!
The lanes were jam-packed with young Cosmic Bowlers, rockin’ to their own set of jams. The entire building was crazy busy in every direction. But those 21 and overs were drawn to Jimmy G’s Sports Bar where Crucial Karaoke was showcasing karaoke excellence.
There’s a ton of room in the bar, lots of seating, and a small dance floor slash stage. The sound booth is fully enclosed and tucked off in the corner. A foosball table sits right in the middle of the room, almost like an afterthought. Several Medalist Avanti dartboards line the wall behind the karaoke singers. One is exposed just enough to shoot on, and they do. While you’re singing. Anything goes here, they love it that way. It’s just a loose, fun, wacky party, and everyone is having a blast.
Free darts every Tuesday and Thursday from 9-close. Free foosball every Wednesday, and Beer Pong every Saturday at 9:30pm. On Sundays, Jimmy G’s presents Industry Night, where industry workers enjoy rock bottom prices.
Anyone cheap like myself will appreciate their All-Day Every Day Happy Hour Menu; $4.00 burgers, wings, and nachos, and $5.00 quesadillas, popcorn shrimp, calamari, and pot stickers.
