Spectacular entertainment at The Point Casino

The Point Casino in Kingston has stepped up their live entertainment in the famed Boom Room. Right now, they are featuring an exciting Battle Of The Bands competition every Wednesday night.

Starting at 9:00pm, Boom Room patrons will be exposed to two local standout bands each week for five weeks, ten bands in all, competing for prestige, bragging rights, and a two-night gig worth thousands of dollars!

On Wednesday, October 17, the Boom Room welcomed Christine Salazar and Her Rad Band to the stage. Folk singer, Christine Salazar, leads her band in a lighthearted, feel-good set of grassroots songs, designed to get the audience singing and dancing along. On the acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Christine is joined by her bassist, drummer, and a sweet violin to add a whole new level of intrigue. See more of Christine Salazar by clicking here:

The evening’s host, Harvis, engaged the audience in a series of games as the next band set up their gear. “That Guy” nailed a perfect bullseye with his very first inflatable dart, putting his own girlfriend out of the competition. Everyone had a blast!

Next up, going head to head against Christine Salazar’s band was a five-person group of talented musicians known as Sea Of Misinformation. They played immediately following, and worked the Boom Room into a lather at the Point Casino from 10:30-11:30pm. Sea Of Misinformation is Ryan Giffin on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Liz Jones on bass and vocals, Tommy on percussion, Christian on lead guitar, and Rhonda on backup vocals – a fun-loving bunch, who bring a great deal of energy to the stage. They were so grateful to play for us, and personally thanked Bill, the Manager, and Dean, the Promoter, at their table.
